Trend Watch: Seeing Red
The trend forecasters of the design world have agreed that bold, vibrant colours will be popular in 2018. We love bold colours, and absolutely love this old house in St. John’s decorated with bold style and plenty of red accents.
This space is full of character and personality, reflecting the eclectic tastes of the antique-appreciating homeowner who isn’t afraid of covering them with a vibrant coat of paint, as was the case with the dining room sideboard.
The St. John’s rowhouse is 100 years old, and remains largely unchanged from the time it was built, which is exactly how the home’s current owner intends to keep it.
But some changes have been made, like swapping out the chandelier for the one shown. And while the living room fireplace still functions, only candles now burn in the dining room hearth.

Great feature in this magazine! Newfoundlanders are very bold with their colours, but usually on their house outside or on the walls inside. This house uses decorations to give the room a bump! Well done.
