Project profile: Teaming Up To Create A Stunning Kitchen
Clean lines, flat surfaces, and high gloss cabinets give this kitchen renovation a contemporary look. Prior to this transformation, the kitchen was an outdated space that needed some help.
Designer Nicky Allen of Staging Spaces reworked the layout of the appliances to provide more counter workspace, while keeping within the original kitchen footprint. An office workspace in the kitchen was eliminated, the appliances were rearranged for better flow, and the flow of the peninsula was adjusted.
The dining table, which was in the home pre-renovation, has a contemporary look that now matches the kitchen, in part because the countertops are the same surface material as the table.
With the plan set and the materials chosen, Neil Matthews and his Trendsetter Renovations team demolished the kitchen back to the studs, rewired the space for the new appliance layout and to bring it up to current code, then rebuilt everything and installed the new cabinetry.
